Tonight I attended the pre-opening for Portraits of Raleigh and had a chance to meet with some members of the gallery and other artists whose work appears in the show. In addition to the exhibit photos there is also a digital show featuring all of the submissions. I have to admit that the photo by Kitty Miller is one of my absolute favorites, however there were so many great pieces and it was exciting to see them all on display. It feels terrific that such great work was created right here in Raleigh!
I also found a sneak peek preview of the exhibit (which officially opens tomorrow for Series One), posted by Ladye Jane Vickers, the curator at Raleigh City Museum. Check it out!
