{ the big day } Leigh Ann & Michael

Highgrove is one of my favorite venues and I was so excited to be there to capture all of the moments on Leigh Ann and Michael‘s big day.  It was such a great day – beautiful wedding, gorgeous details, and a rockin’ reception….what more could you ask for?!  Highgrove was decorated in a beautiful fall theme.  The leaves were represented everywhere – the wreath on the door, the garland on the banisters, and of course at the reception.  Expressions of Love Florist truly did an amazing job!

Mike was really calm before the ceremony.  Here he is before the ceremony.  The brown jacket in the corner is kind of “tradition”.  His dad wore one like it at his own ceremony, then it made an appearance at his brother David’s wedding….it was only right that it came out for another viewing!

And with the guys!

Leigh Ann looked absolutely beautiful and her dress was perfect!

I absolutely love this image of Leigh Ann walking down the staircase.  I think everyone should glow like this on their wedding day!

I think this is my favorite portrait – I love the angle of this shot

Married at last!

The details were gorgeous!!!  I literally could have done an entire post on the details alone, but here are a few of the highlights….

The cake was to die forAmbrosia Cake Creations really does make the best cakes.  They are always beautiful and delicious!  This one was no exception – it was one of the most detailed cakes I have ever seen.  I loved the three-dimensional leaves!

Throughout the day the clown noses were a little joke that the groomsmen pulled on Mike and Leigh Ann.  By the end of the night everyone was in on the fun!

And, of course, there’s no better way to exit than with sparklers!!!

Congratulations Leigh Ann & Mike! This was truly a wedding to remember!

M & L, I must agree and say that every detail was beautiful and I am thankful you invited me to share in your special day!
J – While looking at these photos and the many others posted here (sadly enough with tears in my eyes), I realize I have a responsibility as a good friend to tell you that you shouldn’t have to do anything other than this to survive and support your shoe buying habit. You truly have a gift and an eye for detail that fascinates me. Anyone can take a photograph; few can capture life. I am so lucky you walked into my dorm room # years ago!!

Oh my goodness! All of the pictures are gorgeous! I can’t even pick a favorite (the sparklers, the “married at last” picture, the portraits of LA). You did a fabulous job! Can we go back about 6 years and have you take pictures at my wedding? :o )
