{ newborn } Baby Davis

Just in time for Thanksgiving, here are more images from my session with little Davis!  In addition to his Halloween pics we did a few that were a little more classic. Look at his gorgeous blue eyes! I know I said it before, but I love his red hair!  So uncommon these days. And here...

Shoe update!

Personally I’m really kind of shocked how many people were interested in my shoe situation.  While only one brave reader openly voted, I showed up to several sessions only to be greeted by questions of which pair I picked.  With so many questions I felt it was only fair to offer you an update! And...

Another one bites the dust…..

I may have a few talents, but obviously I do not have a green thumb.  Unfortunately this is the second cactus I have killed and my jade plant looks like it’s losing the fight as well

Aww, it looks like the poor little guy was over watered. :(
Next time water once every two weeks and he should live!

Three Lovely Ladies

I always get excited when Dana calls me to set up her appointment for the girls.  It is always so much fun and I can expect to be truly entertained during our shoot!  I am amazed at how much they have grown, especially compared to last year! First is Jordan! She loves the camera –...

{ the big day } Leigh Ann & Michael

Highgrove is one of my favorite venues and I was so excited to be there to capture all of the moments on Leigh Ann and Michael‘s big day.  It was such a great day – beautiful wedding, gorgeous details, and a rockin’ reception….what more could you ask for?!  Highgrove was decorated in a beautiful fall...

Great photo of Leigh Ann & Michael on the porch – so beautiful.

David Tasillo - November 17, 2008 - 11:27 pm

You really do amazing work. The pictures are so clear. You are extremely professional and I highly recommend you. Keep up the good work.

Alison - November 17, 2008 - 11:23 pm

Jameka, your pictures are amazing!!I can’t wait to see more!! You definitely captured Leigh Ann and Mike’s wedding with perfection.

Janie - November 17, 2008 - 11:16 pm

M & L, I must agree and say that every detail was beautiful and I am thankful you invited me to share in your special day!
J – While looking at these photos and the many others posted here (sadly enough with tears in my eyes), I realize I have a responsibility as a good friend to tell you that you shouldn’t have to do anything other than this to survive and support your shoe buying habit. You truly have a gift and an eye for detail that fascinates me. Anyone can take a photograph; few can capture life. I am so lucky you walked into my dorm room # years ago!!

Crystal - November 17, 2008 - 9:27 pm

Oh my goodness! All of the pictures are gorgeous! I can’t even pick a favorite (the sparklers, the “married at last” picture, the portraits of LA). You did a fabulous job! Can we go back about 6 years and have you take pictures at my wedding? :o )

Sarah - November 17, 2008 - 12:49 pm

I cannot wait to see more. You did an amazing job, Jameka! You have a great eye and are super creative yet elegant. I hope to see you when I am in Raleigh again.

Penny - November 17, 2008 - 8:37 am

Looks like a fun wedding and a wonderful couple. Love that cake too. Beautiful captures Jameka!

Mike Tasillo - November 17, 2008 - 8:25 am

Jameka,

Once again your work never ceases to amaze me. Just when I think your pictures can’t get any more beautiful, they do! It was a joy getting to work with you and your team. Thank you so much for all your hard work. We look forward to working with you again in the future.

[...] you checked out the knot?  Leigh Ann and Mike’s beautiful cake created by Ambrosia Cake Creations was featured in one of the national stories.  [...]

{ lovestory } Dana & Michael

I met Dana a few years ago in tap class and although I am insanely jealous of her far superior tap skills, we have been friends ever since.  She is the friend that most balances me out – while I’m slightly cynical and easily stressed, Dana is always optimistic and never sweats the small stuff. ...

Great Pictures.
The other proud Aunt.

Cathy Boyd - November 15, 2008 - 3:48 pm

I simply love the pictures! Michael and Dana seem to be a perfect match. I am looking forward to the wedding as a proud Aunt should. Much love and happiness always.

Nita Taylor - November 14, 2008 - 10:04 am

Jameka, thanks for the wonderful pictures. You truly captured the feelings between Dana and Michael!

Just like “Mom” Smith said this engagement finally came and no one has been more happy than the families of Dana and Michael. We truly feel blessed to have Michael in our family as a son we’ve never had and we love him dearly. Bary and Marilyn have an exceptional son and Lannie and I are happy Michael and Dana found each other. He has made the perfect choice in Dana. You can see it in their eyes. They just compliment each other–not many couples find the love and friendship they have for one another. I’m excited to see them continue this journey together. Congratulations and love to you both. Mama Taylor

P.S. Dana’s love for shoes was passed down from her mom.

Sarah Jo - November 14, 2008 - 7:13 am

I agree they are a great couple, fun to be around, and the pictures are really nice. They both have some great color in their eyes, and YES those shoes of Michael are really sweet. Best of luck to the soon to be couple and I hope that marriage will detract Dana from her near perfection on the LICD pool !

Absolutely stunning pictures! Jameka, your gift for photography is amazing and you captured their love beautifully. I am so excited for Dana and Michael … I can’t imagine two wonderful people being more perfect for eachother.

Penny - November 12, 2008 - 1:04 am

Beautiful, colorful, love filled images. They must love these!

marilyn smith - November 11, 2008 - 6:02 pm

Yes, Michael and Dana had been dating awhile, and we knew someday the engagement would arrive and now it is here. We are so excited and honored that Dana will be a member of our family. Michael will also be a part of another family that has welcomed him so graciously as their son. Their love and caring attitude for each other shows with their gleem. We now have two daughters with the same name. And how cool is it to have another daughter that loves cool shoes like us. Congrats to Michael and Dana!! Love ya both-mom smith
